Fees

On Site Services at Barefoot Health Naturopathic Clinic

Naturopathic Services on site at Barefoot Health are billed at $130.00 per hour + HST.

Follow up visits and acupuncture treatments are 30 minutes in length.
Adult new patient visits are 90 minutes in length.
Pediatric new patient visits are 60 minutes in length.

Third Party Reimbursement for Naturopathic Care

Naturopathic Medicine is not covered by OHIP, it is fee for service similar to dental, chiropractic and registered massage therapy fees. However many people will have Naturopathic Medicine coverage included in their extended health care benefits through their employer. Please check with your employer to determine if you have coverage for Naturopathic Medical care.

All doctors at Barefoot Health are licensed and registered as Naturopathic Doctors under the Drugless Practioners Act in Ontario. We are happy to provide your insurance company with all the documentation that they require in order for you to be eligible for coverage.

We will issue you a receipt at the time of your visit for you to use to claim back to your insurance company. We appreciate payment at the time of service. We do not direct bill to insurace companies. Barefoot Health is an approved Blue Cross Health Care Provider.

Payment for Services

We are happy to accept debit/interact, VISA and Mastercard payments for our services. We also happily accept cheques or cash.

Important note about Laboratory and Dispensary Services

All laboratory services/ bloodwork fees and supplements or remedies are billed individually and separately from Naturopathic Services.

Other Services Provided:

Homevisits $ 165/hr * scheduled dependant on availability
Telephone consultations $ 130/hr
Email consultations $ 25 per 15 mins to research/reply to questions
Urgent Care On-Call paging service after 5pm $25 + fees which would normally apply to telephone consultations.

Attendance at Birth by a Naturopathic Doctor/Doula: Please note that ND;s are not primary care providers for pregnancy and birth but can provide supportive care, doula services, pain management and use of remedies throughout labour, birth and postpartum. $1250 – this fee may be covered by extended health care insurance. Please note that Dr. Doran ND is currently on leave from full attendance at birth but she can happily refer you to another doula or ND who would suit your needs.

Prebirth Acupuncture program: 5 acupuncture treatments (plus 3 free treatments anytime past 41 weeks if required in order to naturally encourage labour): $390

Postpartum Naturopathic Recovery Program: includes homevisits, acupuncture and prescribing of herbs/homeopathy as needed for recovery 12 full weeks postpartum $1980 – this includes 60 minute home visits on days 1, 3, 5, 7, 10, 14, 21, 28, 42, 56, 70 and 84)

Registered Massage Therapy:

Barefoot Health offers a wide variety of Massage Therapy options.  Please click the link below for the descriptions of modalities available.  Cost:  Thirty Minute- $45; Forty-Five Minute- $60; One hour- $75; Ninety Minute- $95.  Prenatal Massage: Forty-Five Minute- $65; One Hour- $80; Ninety Minute $100.  All prices are subject to the addition of HST
