Many of these treatments are traditional Naturopathic Treatments that bring us back to our roots. Naturopathic Hydrotherapy

Russian Bath

30 mins.  $65.00 + HST

This  full body steam bath (excluding the head ) is indicated to treat the symptoms of cold and flu, to cleanse and  detoxify environmental toxins, to treat chronic sinus congestion, insomnia and arthritis pain.  It also promotes relaxation and boosts immunity.  At Barefoot Health we also use our exclusive essential oil Chest Rub formulation for a deeper therapeutic  effect.

Traditional Sitting Bath

This traditional Bath using hot and cold sitting immersions of the pelvic area has been used for centuries to help women recover vitality and wellness after childbirth.  It is also used to treat urinary tract infections, haemorrhoids and constipation.  Prostatitis in men, lower pack pain, congestive headaches, pelvic pain due to uterine cramping and heavy menstruation have also seen improvements with this treatment.

Fomentation

30 minutes  $65.00 + HST

This hot treatment increases metabolism, increases elimination and helps achieve deep tissue relaxation.  It is useful for anyone suffering pain, congestion and inflammation.  Wonderful for muscle tension, spasm or soreness.  Women with painful periods appreciate this treatment for the pain relief it brings.  This is also useful for anyone suffering from bronchitis and chest colds.

Salt Glow

30 minutes $65.00 + HST

2-4 lbs of coarse salt is used to stimulate the skin and the patients lymphatic system improving sluggish circulation, low immunity, weakness and fatigue.  Excellent for stimulating the immune system of those individuals who are chronically ill over the winter or those who are suffering from exhaustion and chronic fatigue.

Healing  Alternate Baths

Used mainly for injuries:  sprains, strains, fractures, bruises,  arthritis and swelling.  The alternate bath treatment will increase circulation and speed healing.

Universal Wet Sheet Pack

2 hrs  $130.00 + HST

For anyone who is ill with a cold or flu or bronchitis this reliable treatment will help to relieve your symptoms and help you feel better quickly.  This treatment is also used as part of many cleanse programs.  This treatment is very relaxing, nourishing to the body and stimulating to the immune system.

Mud Bakes, Rubs, Poultices and Wraps

Traditional Mustard Plaster

For anyone suffering from bronchitis or a cough this traditional treatment warms, loosens and helps to clear chest conjestion and speeds recovery.  Using our special clinic blend of mustard, and a unique blend of essential oils this treatment is not only effective but also will leave you feeling relaxed and recharged.  Combines well with many hydrotherapy treatments.  30 minute treatment includes 20 minute plaster application plus lung tappotement massage.
